MANAGER-LABORATORY SERVICES – County of Ventura Health Care Agency$81,706.72 – $114,389.40 Annually

DESCRIPTION

Under general direction, incumbent plans and supervises the activities of the Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) or Santa Paula Hospital (SPH) clinical laboratory by assigning, reviewing, and participating in the work of a group of medical technologists engaged in performing a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological tests.

The ideal candidate will have clinical laboratory management experience, strong supervision/management skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to establish trust and respect with all levels of staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university in medical technology, including courses in practical clinical laboratory work, AND four (4) years of experience in a clinical laboratory performing all varieties of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological tests.
