CORE Diagnostics offers a comprehensive menu of specialized, advanced diagnostic testing in the areas of cardiology, oncology, reproductive disorders, endocrinology and infectious diseases. The company deploys cutting edge molecular diagnostic technologies and instrumentation in clinical applications and uses digital pathology for enabling concurrent global review of test results. Our CLIA laboratory team seeks a highly-motivated individual with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to perform cutting-edge molecular diagnostic testing on patient specimens. Successful candidates will:
- Perform molecular genetic testing using a variety of molecular biology techniques including PCR, RT-PCR, and FISH
- Utilize advanced instrumentation including Fluidigm and Nanostring platforms
- Conduct daily quantitative and qualitative assessment of molecular data generated during the course of testing
- Carry out QA/QC activities as part of the company’s Quality program and commitment to patient safety
- Participate in a variety of other important lab activities, including reagent qualification, procedure writing, inspection preparation, test validation, and equipment maintenance
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to solve problems and work independently
Required Qualifications:
California CLS license and Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in biological sciences or medical technology, with at least 6 months of experience in molecular biology and/or molecular diagnostic testing.
