Laboratory Supervisor – Technical Supervisor (Healthcare Sciences)

JOB SUMMARY

The Laboratory Supervisor – Technical Supervisor supervises the 3rd shift or one or more technical departments of the Laboratory (such as Chemistry, Microbiology, Hematology).  Organizes workflow and manages personnel and supplies to ensure efficient functioning and cost effectiveness of the laboratory.

Laboratory Supervisor – Technical Supervisor (Healthcare Sciences)

Qualifications:

•   Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or relatable scientific degree

•   ASCP MT or equivalent certification

•   Maintains a valid Washington Driver’s License and clean record if required to drive.

•   Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and condition of the patients served on assigned unit/department.

•   At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting and at least 1 year of previous supervisory experience

Physical Abilities Physical Demand Level:  Sedentary In an 8-hour workday, must be able to- Lift / Carry 10 pounds occasionally
