Job Summary:
· Responsible for preparation for CAP inspections· Reviews quality assurance standards, studies existing laboratory policies and procedures, and evaluates effectiveness of company quality assurance program.
· Writes and maintains QA policies and procedures; reviews and appropriately routes quality assurance reports; participates in validating and/or writing test procedures and oversees maintenance of the Policy and Procedure Manuals
· Responsible for document control; responsible for meeting the unique QA report needs of clients
· Maintains a database for the tracking of quality assurance reports and presents statistical data and narrative reports summarizing QA findings.
· In addition to an employees typical work schedule, this position may require employee to work weekends, split shifts, and holidays if needed by Company.
· Other duties as necessary
Job Requirements:
· 3+ years of QA/QC experience within a clinical laboratory, reference laboratory, hospital laboratory type setting· CA CLS license strongly preferred
· ASCP strongly preferred
