Senior CLS - Redwood City

We are looking for a senior Clinical Lab Scientist generalist, preferably with an emphasis in Chemistry and Immunochemistry, to work the AM Shift at our Redwood City Laboratory. Responsibilities could include but are not limited to basic Chemistry testing and result reporting, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, and quality control reporting & documentation. This position will work closely with the Assistant Managers of Routine and Immunochemistry in a lead role to ensure optimal operation of the Chemistry department, which may include instrument validation, writing/reviewing/updating SOPs for new and existing assays, assisting QA team in maintaining quality assurance, training and development of staff, and other special projects. Required Experience:

• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license


• Minimum of three years experience as a licensed clinical laboratory scientist, preferably in Chemistry, with demonstrated progression of responsibility and skill


• Knowledge of Chemistry instruments helpful, with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology


• Excellent computer skills with very strong comfort level in troubleshooting


• Proven leadership ability, both technically and among staff


• Strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with employees and managers as needed


• In-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific principles, and quality control
