CLS - Bay Area Prenatal Diagnostic Company

My client is looking for someone with the following strengths:
Requirements:
• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license, generalist preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience as CLS - molecular genetics or cytogenetics highly preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in biological field (e.g. genetics, molecular biology, biology, biochemistry)
• Experience in writing or generating SOPs
• Knowledge of CLIA and California regulatory requirements

Responsibilities:
• Assist in setting up CLIA lab, which will involve preparation of SOPs, writing validation protocols and reports, and performing validation testing
• Performing routine and complex laboratory analysis, instrument maintenance, quality control, and result reporting
• Work with LIMS system for accessioning, tracking samples and results, and generating reports

Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Ascend Clinical

We are looking for a senior Clinical Lab Scientist generalist, preferably with an emphasis in Chemistry and Immunochemistry, to work the AM shift in our Redwood City Laboratory. Responsibilities could include but are not limited to basic Chemistry testing and result reporting, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, and quality control reporting &documentation. This position will work closely with the Assistant Managers of Routine and Immunochemistry in a lead role to ensure optimal operation of the Chemistry department, which may include instrument validation, writing/reviewing/updating SOPs for new and existing assays, assisting QA team in validation, writing/reviewing/updating SOPs for new and existing assays, assisting QA team in maintaining quality assurance, training and development of staff, and other special projects. Requisite Skills:

  • Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license

  • Minimum of three years experience as a licensed clinical laboratory scientist, preferably in Chemistry, with demonstrated progression of responsibility and skill

  • Knowledge of Chemistry instruments helpful, with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology

  • Excellent computer skills with very strong comfort level in troubleshooting

  • Proven leadership ability, both technically and among staff

  • Strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with employees and managers as needed

  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific principles, and quality control

CLS-San Carlos

We are seeking a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (licensed) who is highly motivated to join our efforts in performing genetic analysis. Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for testing and reporting clinical laboratory results used to aide physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

  • Selection, implementation, and evaluation of results for Quality Control materials used in statistical process control of laboratory assays.

  • Troubleshoots assays and equipment for which QC materials fail to perform adequately.

  • Participation in activities required to support all necessary licensure for the clinical laboratory, including quality management functions and on-site inspections of the laboratory.

  • Responsibility for maintaining updated understanding and knowledge of the methods employed in the laboratory and the use of the resulting information by physicians through continuing education activities.

Requirements:



  • BS in medical technology or biological sciences with a curriculum meeting national testing personnel standards.

  • California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license in categories appropriate for the area of testing performed.

  • 0-4 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting involving molecular pathology and/or nucleic acid analysis, open to recent graduates with CLS license.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, organization and time management skills are essential.
