Our CLIA laboratory seeks a highly motivated individual with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to perform cutting-edge molecular studies for oncology biomarker development projects.
Job Summary:
The Research Associate position will be responsible for working within the Tissue processing and high throughput real time PCR projects. This position includes the responsibility for conducting a range of molecular biology techniques including but not limited to DNA, RNA, micro RNA purification from tumor tissues, Nucleic acid quantification by Ribo and Picogreen, real-time PCR, Fluidigm and Nanostring assays. The successful candidate would need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a dynamic project team and Following the laboratory’s established SOPs.
Minimum requirements:
B.S/M.S in biological/life sciences with 0-2 years of relevant research experience within an academic or industrial molecular biology lab setting
Essential requirements:
- Hands on experience of successful DNA, RNA purification
- Working knowledge of a range of molecular biology techniques
- Experience working in a production environment
- Excel and micro-pipetting skills are a must
