Position Title: Flow Cytometry Technologist (Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist)
Location: Oceanside, CA area
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday Full Time

Description:
This candidate will have the expertise in the subspecialty of flow cytometry. He/She will have the knowledge of performing and troubleshooting all assays performed in the department. In the absence of the director and technical supervisory, this employee must be responsible for the proper performance of all laboratory procedures and reporting of test results.
Duties:
· Performs assigned technical assays according to established procedures and reports test results.
· Performs and records instrument maintenance and function checks.
· Uses LIS to perform editing, data entry, quality control, quality assurance, and faxing.
· Identifies problems that may adversely affect patient test results, and either corrects problems or notifies appropriate supervisor.
· Performs, records, reports, and evaluates quality control results.
· Records corrective actions as appropriate.
· Records dates or receipt, use, and expiration for all reagents, kits, controls, and standards used for assays.
· Trains and/or supervise new personnel with regard to technical and operations procedures.
· Adheres to established turn-around-times while maintaining highest quality of test results and the most efficient use of resources
· Maintains records demonstrating that proficiency testing materials are tested in the same manner as routine patient specimens.
· Conforms to all company policies and maintains a business-like, professional attitude.
· Adheres to company HCFA/CLIA88 compliance rules.
· May actively participate as a member of the quality assurance committee.
· May perform instrument calibration and linearity.
Requirements to be eligible for this position
Current CLS License
Bachelors Degree
Experience with flow cytometry
