Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Profile: As part of the XDx team, Clinical Laboratory Scientists are responsible for all patient sample testing performing highly complex molecular procedures, reviewing, interpreting, and reporting patient results, validation of new processes, performing applicable QC/QA, and complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laboratory requirements. A current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license is required.
Responsibilities:
• Patient sample testing
• Validation of new complex in-house procedures
• Performing molecular procedures
• Analyzing QC data and determining quality of patient results
• Developing routine systems for rapid reporting of results
• Participation in QC/QA activities as required
• Being an integral part of the team introducing new assays for patient care
Qualifications:
• CALIFORNIA CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST (CLS) LICENSE IS REQUIRED.
• 2 or more years experience in high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory
• Training in molecular techniques preferred
• Experience in immunology or microbiology or related fields preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of a disease with complex treatment algorithms
• Good analytical skills, including working with databases and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum BA or BS in a biology-related science
