CLS - Molecular-Microbiology - Los Gatos

Heard about this position from a former student:

Looking for a CLS (new grads OK) in Los Gatos.

Pathology group based in Los Gatos that also owns and operates a small private lab. They are looking to replace a few part time CLS positions with one full time employee. For the foreseeable future i think it would involve mostly molecular testing on gene specimens (hpv gc etc) on a new platform that we just brought in. We have talked about expanding the micro test menu, but there is a lot going on right now and I don't think that will happen soon. But you never know.

It's a small company, you would be the only CLS, and probably get very good at the tasks that were initially assigned to you. Hopefully after that you would be involved in bringing in and validating new tests. It is quiet, everyone is really nice, you would have the opportunity to cross train in some ap lab skills. I think it could be challenging and stimulating when we are ready to bring in new tests.
