LAB DIRECTOR

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated CLIA LAB DIRECTOR to join the pioneering
CLIA lab team at our site in South San Francisco.

Who We Are

Veracyte, Inc. is a well-funded, commercial-stage diagnostic company led by a highly
experienced management team. The Wall Street Journal recently selected us as one of the top
50 venture-backed companies for 2011 out of over 5,000 companies considered.

Last year, we commercialized our first product in the unprecedented timeframe of two and a
half years from the founding of the company. The Afirma™ gene expression classifier is an
innovative proprietary genomic test designed to classify inconclusive thyroid nodule test results
obtained through FNAs as benign or suspicious for malignancy. Our solution could potentially
help tens of thousands of patients each year avoid surgery. Our R & D team applied a high-
density genome-wide platform from discovery through to commercialization. We plan once
again to apply this highly effective approach to develop additional diagnostic tests in thyroid and
other cancer indications.

The Position

Our CLIA team seeks a leader with the ability to manage our state-of-the-art CLIA molecular
diagnostics lab, including supervision of lab personnel, assurance of compliance with state and
federal regulatory agencies, execution of a high-level quality program, tracking of inventory and
lab costs, qualification of equipment/reagents, and reporting of accurate and timely patient test
results. The ability to thrive in a challenging, highly diverse team environment is critical.

Applicants should have a degree in medical technology, life sciences, or health administration;
a graduate degree and a CLS certification preferred. 5 years of reference lab experience,
including 2 years in molecular diagnostics testing.

Who You Are

To be a successful candidate you will understand gene expression and array-based technology;
have an in-depth understanding of policies, processes and procedures necessary to perform
high quality, high complexity lab testing/delivery of these services to physician customers; have
the ability to maintain the clinical lab at an inspection-ready level; and proven ability to bring
innovative thinking/ideas to solve problems and improve any phase of lab operations. We
would like you to share our commitment to teamwork and collaboration and be excited by the
challenges of applying your expertise to an important, emerging area in diagnostics.
