CLS - Kaiser Sacramento

There are several positions currently open at the Kaiser Sacramento Clinical Laboratory.  All of these positions would be great for a new CLS grad, and all of them offer medical, dental, prescription, and eye care benefits to the employee, their spouse, and all dependents.  Kaiser is a great place to work with the highest quality of care in the industry.

The current starting pay for new CLSs with NO experience is just over $40/hour with an additional $6.10/hour for working the night shift (graveyards-10:45pm to 7:15am).  Since this is a union environment, step raises would occur every year for the first 4 years and with each new contract (every 3 years).  These raises are about $2/hour the first year and at least a $1/ hour thereafter.  The new hires also receive paid vacation and sick time in addition to retirement benefits.  The starting pay for those with experience of 1 year or more is, of course, incrementally higher.

We also have at least 5 CLSs retiring over the next year, so there will be plenty of opportunities to take those positions, if a new grad already has a current position with us.  All CLS schedules work on a 4 week rotating basis. There are also lots of extra shifts always available should a CLS want to work more hours, since there are always CLSs off on vacation.  The list of current openings with hours are:

20 hour night shift CLS (shift starts @2245 the day before the scheduled day, i.e. Sunday shift starts @10:45pm Saturday)
Week 1 & 3 Su, Mo      (This schedule is a work 5 days, off 9 days type of schedule.  A great opportunity to pick up more shifts.)
Week 2 & 4 Th, F, Sa

20 hour night shift CLS (This schedule is a work 5 days, off  9 days type of schedule.  A great opportunity to pick up more shifts.)
Week 1 & 3 Sa
Week 2 & 4 Su, Mo, Tu, Wed

40 hour night shift CLS
Weeks 1,2,3,4 Su-Th

Let me know, if you have any questions.  I would be happy to help with any relocation concerns, as I'm a Sacramento native.
